Please find a list of practical information below. If the list proves unsatisfactory we encourage passengers to contact the service desk at the relevant harbor by calling 481-2800 or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that it is important that passengers arrive at the check-in desk no later than 30 minutes before the advertised time of departure. All tickets are scanned before boarding. Five minutes prior to the departure, access to the ferry is closed.
Free parking is available to passengers on the parking lot by the Landeyjahöfn and Þorlákshöfn harbors. Please note that the ferry's operators are not legally responsible for cars parked in these parking lots.
How do I get there?
Public transport to the ferry's harbors is available, with buses departing both from BSÍ and from Mjódd in Reykjavík. For additional information please call 540-2700 or visit www.straeto.is. It is worth noting that these services are not arranged by Herjólfur Ohf.
Also, please note that it takes about two hours to drive from the capital area to the Landeyjahöfn harbor under favorable conditions. Passengers are encouraged to give themselves plenty of time and to observe the speed limit at all times. Check that your vehicle is in proper condition prior to departure to prevent delays during your trip.
